New Blackberry 6 and Symbian 3 on Nokia N8

30 April 2010 No Comment

It looks like the mobile wars for the smart phone dominance is full on the big weights like blackberry and Nokia that have taken a back seat during the last couple of years thanks to apple iphone and the new Andrioid are trying to make a come back but is this new offering good enough found out.

Blackberry is going to introduce an entire new operating system called Blackberry 6 and will require new hardware, look at the video before what I think about the same.

Well looks like blackberry has taken the apple cool aid and trying to be more like the iphone, but after seeing this video I am surprised to think what blackberry is trying to do, don’t get me wrong the video and the features look funky but blackberry is used by serious business users primarily for the robust email services in the old (Current) blackberry models I agree that the web browser sucked big time for the same and they should have just improved the web functionality of the phone but the way this video is presented I think a lot of business users might shy away from these new devices as it now looks more of an entertainment funky device rather than a serious business communication tool.

Introducing the Nokia 8 the first symbian 3 device.

Well personally according to me Nokia has just been sitting on their ass for a long time and they too have realized the same hence they have been working for the last couple of years on the new symbian operating system called Symbian 3 coz the old symbian was just too old to take on the new touch based smartphone devices, but if you have seen the above video if Symbian 3 is this then I am sorry to say Nokia this is just not good enough if we compare it with Apple iphone OS and Andriod touch based phone.

Nokia stop giving us crazy features like 12M camera or a 720p video as a first in a mobile, please concentrate on giving a fluid and a complete mobile experience even blackberry 6 OS looks better than symbian 3 and by just adding widgets and a few tweaks to your symbian OS you cannot compete with iphones and the andriod based phones, to conclude if you closely notice the video you might have noticed that the phone is a bit jerky even in its regular operations which according to me is a fail, if this continues like this for Nokia I am sorry to say they will simply not exist in the high end smartphone market space, in today’s era its just not about the leading edge hardware the software and the experience is where it counts.
