Google recently announced that it will launch Google TV not a entirely new concept which many other tech heavy weights like Microsoft and Apple (Apple TV) tried to do earlier but they failed with their attempt, but I do think this time Google with it’s Google TV might just get it right, to find out why continue reading.

So what is Google TV?

Google TV is nothing but think of it as a setup box that you connect it to your TV and is connected to the internet and then it gets the connect you want to see from the internet so suddenly now you have millions of channels to watch and you just watch what you want instead on relaying on traditional TV channels which is the other way, think of taking interactive TV to the next level.

So what is so different it was done earlier with products like Apple TV, Web TV etc they also tried to do the same.

They say sometimes you can have the greatest and the best idea but if the timing is not right it will fail, sometimes it can be that the mindset of the consumer is not ready for using the same or its to futuristic and the infrastructure needed to support the same is simply not present.

Now the timing for such a product is just correct internet connections have become sufficiently fast, we as consumers have become used to watching online content via sites like youtube and we can find web videos on almost every other site these days, so as a consumer we are ready to accept to this idea, the other thing Google is doing is it’s going to partnering with Sony to create new TV that will have inbuilt support for it’s google TV application and we know one thing that google does the best is to find the content that you need easily and they will add there search magic to this product and this is where it will make the difference.
