Thanks for that info. Ranjit , yes u ar right that the present line-up of imacs are pretty expensive as compared to the october '09 revisions . Therefore i am buying the high-end 27" model of last generation for a price of Rs 92,500 /- (it was somewhere around 1,05,000 i think) from an apple dealer in Indore.
Indore does'nt have an iStore or Imagine Store, only 2-3 resellers, thats it.

I was looking forward for USB 3.0 in the july revision but it seems Apple would include that in next revision( may be march-april next year) , i can't wait that long , therefore i think my present deal is pretty good.

Thanks again.

Hi Shivali,

Regarding selling a mac usually you can get a good price if you know the dealer, I don't buy it from an official istore as in India we do not yet have any exchange program but my computer dealer is an authorized apple sales agent I usually do an exchange and pay up the difference with him though at times I would have to wait until someone wants a second hand mac and then I get a new one.

Do note that the new 27 iMac is pretty expensive compared to the old core2duo generations, I might buy the 27 iMac but not this generation I will be looking at the next generation which should probably get USB 3 support.

Cheers,
Ranjit
