If you are a movie freak you would love to know that we have a video rental service from reliance known as Bigflix using which you can rent unlimited movies for a very low monthly fee, I have been using this service for the past 3 months and find it very interesting.

Bigflix is a video rental service in which you can rent unlimited DVD’s / VCD’s of your choice within your membership period, they even have home delivery for free which makes it very convenient for you to get the movies of your choice without going to the store.

I personally  have been using the bigflix service for the last couple of months coz I found it to be a lot cheaper than my local DVD rental walla who charges around Rs 50 per DVD and that too I have to return the DVD the next day or a max of 2 days otherwise the charges go up, In contrast using bigflix you can rent unlimited amount of DVD’s in a month (more on this in the next paragraph) and also you don’t have to pay a penalty or late fee’s if you keep the DVD for a couple of days it’s up to you and again you have FREE home delivery which is icing on the cake.

Membership plans and how it works?

The working on bigflix is a bit different you have several membership plans to choose from and again the no of DVD’s that you can rent at a time depends on the plan you choose, to give you an fair idea I am listing a couple of their plans below, to view all their plans please visit bigflix website.

Plan 1:  Monthly fee  299, with one DVD / CD

Plan 2:  Monthly fee  450, 2 DVD / CD rental.

Apart from the monthly fees, at the time of registration you have to pay a one time security deposit

Bigflix also offers you FREE home delivery and to use the same you need to logon to the site bigflix.com using the userid and password that was provided to you and using the site  make a list of 25 movies that you would like to watch, from the site you have an option of requesting a pickup, the delivery boy normally comes once a day and a movie from the selection of your list is delivered to you.

Single Bigflix membership works all over India!

Also I would like to let you know that Bigflix membership works all over India, you can pickup a DVD from any Bigflix store and return the same DVD/movie to any store in India with your unique membership ID, for example lets say that you stay in Hyderabad but had some work in Mumbai and will stay in Mumbai for a couple of weeks you can pick up the DVD from Mumbai Bigflicks store and return the same in Hyderabad, the service works all over India which is simply great for people on the move.

Cons of the service

* The collection is average at it’s best, they are adding new movies but still the collection is average, you can check out the collection at their website.

* New releases take some time to come to bigflix as the service only has only originals movies which is a good thing.

* It can take some time to get your favorite movie as many times the movie that you want might be in circulation (happens a lot with new releases).

*   You cannot down grade to a lower membership plan you can only upgrade your membership which is kind of stupid.

* No HD Blue-ray movies for now, only standard DVD’s and VCD’s

Final words, Do I recommend Bigflix?

Well if you are a movie lover and watch at-least a couple of movies a month  in the comfort of your home then you would love this video rental service known as Bigflicks.

For starters it’s way cheap that our old video rental shops and the service is very professional, you get to watch quality original DVD movies at home without the hassles of late payment etc add to that  free home delivery and using their portal you can book your favorite movies with a click of a mouse.
