New unlimited broadband plans by airtel
| Airtel broadband has recently launched a lot of new unlimited broadband plans, specifically the unlimited packages for 512kbps, 1 Mbps and 2 Mbps Unlimited plans have got a lot cheaper but there is a more stringent Fair usage policy (FUP) for these new plans. | ![]() |
Do note that these plans might not be currently active all over India, I reside in Hyderabad and these plans are applicable for Andhra Pradesh, but you should find new similar plans being rolled out all over the country pretty soon, I do welcome the lower pricing for plans between 512 kbps – 2 Mbps Unlimited plans but the FUP limits are a bit on the lower side, do note after you reach your FUP limit your speeds is cut into half.

I still welcome this move by Airtel now there unlimited plans are among the cheapest in the country, Relinace broadband had also reduced there broadband pricing a couple of months back but the choice there is very limited and looks like they are just that much interested in the broadband business, I hope other ISP also take active part to reducing the broadband pricing in India, I am still shocked that BSNL broadband is now among one of the most expensive broadband providers in the country, whereas they should take the initiatives being a govt organization to reduce broadband pricing so that more people opt for broadband, I just don’t know when will the babus and the ministers wake up.

Is it compulsory to have an airtel lindline connection for new broadband connection, If yes what are the tariffs for a landline connection ?
Moiz airtel broadband is a DSL connection and airtel bundles a telephone connection with the same, thought there is no separate additional charges (some packages there is free bundled usage for the telephone line) and there after the free usage minutes there is nominal charges as per your actual usage.
The good thing about Airtel is that there is no separate telephone rental charges think that you get the telephone line for free, unlike other broadband providers like Reliance and BSNL who charge additional fee for the telephone line with the broadband connections.
