Awesome New broadband plans by Airtel
I always thought that BSNL would be the first to bring about affordable high speed broadband plans but I am wrong, Airtel has just upped the ante. Airtel is now offering 1 Mbps unlimited speeds starting at Rs 1099 (1 Mbps only at night) if you want 1 Mbps unlimited throught the day its Rs 1699, very affordable coz the other ISP charge around 2,200 for 1 Mbps unlimited plans.
Some of the other plans that I would like to highlight are
1) Turbo 1299 (Rs 1,299) you get 512 Kbps during day and 1 Mbps at night.
2) Freedom 1699 (Rs 1,699) 1 Mbps Unlimited.
3) Freedom 2999 (Rs 2,999) 2 Mbps Unlimited.
4) Velocity 2999 (Rs 2,999) for 8 Mbps connection with 50 GB/month.
You can have a look at all the new airtel broadband plans, I am sure these new plans will force other ISP to think about their tarrifs and come up with affordable high speed and unlimited broadband plans, I also wish that BSNL would also re-vamp their broadband plans it’s long time due.
If you are in India and planning to buy books / mobile / gadgets online, I suggest you have a look at flipkart. It is one of the best online store in India and they offer free home delivery and cash on delivery for most products.

they should atleast provide 1 or 2Mbps speed below 1000rs, 1699rs for 1 Mbps is not worth it, in other countries like japan and south korea you get like 200 Mbps for less than 1000rs and in most european countries 50 Mbps is provided for 500rs per month, india still ranks 115th rank at internet speed, they should provide 1mbps plan for 500 or 600rs per month, then it will be good..
Do note that other ISP apart form Airtel are still very expensive for unlimited broadband plans, its a good start by Aritel and I believe this would lead to healthy competition.
For Example in reliance broadband 1 Mbps Unlimited is around 2,200 and for TATA broadband its around 2,500 so airtel comparatively as of now is a lot cheaper.
i have gone through all broadband plans offered by all companies. till now i think bsnl is the best option availaible. hope the position gets better when wimax of reliance and other companies starts
