Airtel 1 MBPS Unlimited Plan for Home users

28 February 2008 2 Comments

Airtel broadband has started 1 Mbps unlimited data transfer plans for Rs 2222 / month + tax, which is quite good for users who download a lot of content and don’t want to be worried about how much bandwidth they have consumed, the nearest similar plan that is offered by TATA broadband is 1 Mbps unlimited for Rs 3600 / month.

This new plan have been introduced for Delhi and Kolkata and I am sure that this service would be announced shortly for other areas as well, I hope this would also result in a healthy competition with other ISP’s also offering similar options.

I seriously do hope that BSNL and MTNL would also start offering more unlimited data plans for home users as BSNL has unlimited plans for business users and they are priced at Rs 9000 / month for 1 Mbps and Rs 15,000 for 2 Mbps unlimited plan and they have just one unlimited data plan for home users who are stuck at 256kpbs for around 900 / month.

The other unlimited data transfer plans that are offered by Airtel broadband for home users are 512 kpbs for 1499 and 256 kpbs Rs 999 / month.

I would say go for the unlimited plan that way you dont have to worry about the amount of data your son or you have downloaded in a particular month.

Also do note BSNL is offering 256 kbps unlimited plan for Rs 750/- pm, Airtel hasn’t revised there plans for quite some time so you can continue with them, I expect all major ISP’s to come up with new plans in the coming few months.
