3G WiFi routers
Do you want share your internet connection from your single 3G connection to multiple computers via ethernet or WiFi, then you need to have a look at 3G Wifi routers we have quite a few types of devices like these that can share your 3G connection with multiple device, I am going to show you the different types of 3G router and also review one which I have been testing for a week with BSNL 3G.
We can broadly divide the 3G wifi router into 2 parts the first one is the Portable Hotspot type models (some of which also come with built in battery backup) and these are very portable hence you can carry them along with you and the second types look like a Normal WiFi router and are to be used in home or small office environment these are not portable devices but can also work with your existing broadband connections like ADSL or cable modems apart from using 3G data-cards to provide internet connectivity, further some of these 3G routers have an in-built modem thus you do not need a separate 3G data card with the 3G router.
Back view with my E122 datacard inserted in the router
I have been testing a 3G wifi router the second type which is a Normal WiFi router that can accept a
The other good thing that I liked about this 3G router is that the Wifi coverage that was provided by the router was very strong and the range was also very good and I was able to connect multiple WiFi devices without any issues, there is an option in the router to act as a Wifi extender if you need to extend your Wifi network that can be done (I did not test the same), the build quality of the router was also surprisingly very good, This router at the time of writing this review was available on ebay.in for around Rs 3,000.
UPDATE: I have recently reviewed the ASUS RT N13U WiFi router which also supports 3G data cards and in my opinion it is a overall better router with much more functionality and if you are buying in India you can get the ASUS router with official warranty.

can we use it for reliance 3.1 Mbps USB internet Connection ?
Yes Sai it works with reliance netconnect+ and as far as I know it should work even with Tata Photon+
hi ranjit.
(1)i have bsnl 3g data card (teracom LW273 7.2 mbps)
(2) an adsl 2+ router(model VMC AN1020-21 provided by bsnl) it has wi-fi option and usb port and 4 lan pins
(3) desktop
(4) laptop
can i use internet for both laptop and desktop by using these devices?
can i fix my usb data-card in usb port of router and then make internet connection to the desktop
and then wireless connection to laptop?
please guide me
its my humble request
Hello Raj,
No it will not work you need a 3G Wifi router like mention in this post, you just cannot use any Wifi router that has a USB port at the back.
Hello Ranjit.
i’m so glad people(INDIAN) like you are making such videos .and educating the public about wireless 3G Routers..
can you tell me if this router works with the TATA DOCOMO 3G stick??
and what is the market price for this device?
Subscribed to you’r youtube chanel!!
keep up the great work!!
thank you again.
Thanks Sujith,
I personally don’t have a TATA DOCOMO 3G USB stick but it should work with the same, you would just need to go the admin panel and set the appropraite APN like I did for BSNL 3G as shown in the video footage.
Cheers,
Ranjit
Hi Ranjith, You post was really helpful, does it operate in battery? and will the video streaming is good ? and how long this wifi enabled?
please help me.
Thanks
Anbu
Hi Anbu,
The model that I reviewed is not a battery model, it is just a 3G router to WiFi so the quality of the connection will depend upon your 3G connection if you 3G connection is good quality you would get good results.
You are getting smaller 3G Wifi battery operated models in the market and they run on a average around 4 hours on battery but again differs from model to model.
Ranjit
hey ranjit
i got the following stuff with me rht nw
1)belkin basic n150 wifi modem-router
2)3g huawie e153 hsdpa usb stick with bsnl 3g sim
nw can i connect these two to get 3g wifi connection
wld b glad if u told me hw to connect
n nice to see indians doin these stuffs
Shiv as far as I know the Belkin N150 is not a 3G enabled router so for the functionality that you want you would need a new router like the one have reviewed.
Ranjit
hi ranjeete,
its a good information, it will definitively increase the sells of tenda 3G router. any way ass shiv and raj said, do we have any idea that can make our normal router (Nokia Siemens ADSL modem 1600 in my case) to 3G wifi router.
help us…………..
thanks for the review.
Hi Amit,
The functionality to accept a 3G dongle should be supported by the routers firmware and the hardware, you can try with third party firmware to check if its supported, I do know some ASUS routers that support 3G router functionality but for most of the other routers if it’s not an feature that is advertised it will not work.
Ranjit
Hi Ranjit.
in my home i have desktop and 2 laptop and itouch.
my internet connection is reliance 3.2 mbps usb modem
i want to use 3g router. so that i can use internet in all.
my question is
1. for desktop can i have give wired connection from 3g router ?
Sure Sai the router I have reviewed above has 4 ethernet ports apart from WiFi connectivity so you can connect upto 4 wired computers with the same and also your WiFi devices.
Ranjit
OK RANJIT
hello ranjit :I am from chennai ,i am using desktop for net connection
Im using bsnl3g datacard (teracom LW272 V1.0 3.6mbps speed)
i am getting only 2 point signal tower from my locality if this 3g router is connected with my datacard model will the speed of my bsnl net be increased or not ,
hi… also state the approximate range of this wifi router
Hi Sabari,
A WiFi 3G router like this will not increase the signal strength or the speed as the speeds and signal strength is depends upon the location and your 3G modem, regarding the WiFi range it is comparable to a standard WiFi router, it gave good signal strength in my entire apartment.
Cheers,
Ranjit
hi Ranjit,
its very nice of you to have shared your knowledge with us regarding this router.
I am using the mtnl broadband in my house, with an adsl dlink router, and a linksys WRT54G router to make it work on wifi. I am planing to buy a VODAFONE 3g stick. Will Tenda 3G611R+ support it? i believe vodafone provides thier own dongle. And also, if it works, can i use my linksys router WRT54G, to work as a repeater for this 3g network?
would be glad if you could tell me the aprox price of this router.
thanks.
Jiten
Hi Ranjith,
Thank you so much for the info and video. I was looking for a Wifi USB router to support a 7.2MBPS USB Dongle with BSNL 2G. Can I use the same with 2G too since you said it is compatible with tata photon+ ? Is the router also availible in retail outlets ?
Rgds
Sindhu
Hello Sindhu,
I did not try it with 2G (EDGE) so cannot comment on the same, I do not know if you are getting this particular model in retail stores as I had received this as a review unit and now I have sent it back.
Just make sure that the USB modem that you are planing to use with the router is compatible with the same the website is http://www.tenda.cn/
Thanks,
Ranjit
Hi Ranjith,
Thank you again for the details. I visited the tenda site and there was another product which popped up its 11N Wireless USB Adapter W311U. Can I use it with a 2G datacard and will it be wifi enabled ie can multiple users connect to it? Please have a look at its specifications and suggest.
Regards
sindhu
Hi again ranjith,
Can you please give me your inputs on Huawei E583C Router ? Looks like an ideal match for a 2G data card with wifi connectivity.
Many Thanks
sindhu
Hello Ranjit
Nice and much needed info. I was thinking of replacing my broadband connection at home with 3g with the help of such router to create wifi. Is it logical to replace broadband with 3g? Is Asus N13u router compatible with the Micromax modem provided by mtnl 3g jadoo? If so, how is the asus router in terms of throughput and range?
Thanks
Sumit
Sumit I would not advise you to move from your wired broadband connection to 3G as 3G is pretty expensive in the long run (I know right now there is and unlimited broadband with 3G on MTNL) but after that is withdrawn your would have to pay heavily for 3G and that would turn out to be expensive also speeds cannot be guaranteed in the long run with 3G.
The Asus N13u is a very good router with decent range and output please check with Asus website and support if it specifically support your make / model of 3G USB modem.
BTW read this article which I wrote a couple of months regarding 3G and wired broadband connection http://www.tech2buzz.com/internet/3g-broadband-or-wired-broadband-internet-connection
Cheers,
Ranjit
can you do a step by step video tutorial. or can i just ask do i need a cable to connect the router and another source of internet before i can use it?
Pap you just need to connect your broadband Ethernet cable to the WAN port and follow the instructions provided in the video to do the setup…. also have a look at the ASUS RT N13U router that is also 3G comparable and a better router IMHO.
Cheers,
Ranjit
Hi sir,
what about idea net setter will it support ?
thanks in advance
Hello Mohan I have not personally used the idea netsetter card so I do not know if its unlocked and if it can work without issues with other 3G providers.
Cheers,
Ranjit
Thanks for the info sir,
What about Tenda 3g150m ?
Sir i personally decided to buy this product & want to know more about this, will it be a good 1 for me because i travel from Mumbai to south india (Tamilnadu) once in 4 month & can’t be there without internet so will it be a good choice to use Tenda 3g150m with MTNL 3G data card ?
Thanks in advance
Yeah the Tenda 3g model shown here or the ASUS N 13U B1 that I reviewed a few weeks back will work but again you still need a 3G dongle to use with these router.
Again I found both routers have good support for huawei brand of 3G datacards make sure you check the version of 3G datacard supported by the router as not all 3G datacards are supported.
Cheers,
Ranjit
Hello Ranjit
Thanks for the info again. I think i will now use the 3g connection as an add-on to the wired broadband i already have. On further search on the net i found out that a certain ‘Leoxsys Leo 300N’ suits my needs perfectly as it is 100% compatible with MTNL 3g card. Also it has two antennae to give better wifi coverage. However, i couldnt find any reviews for the product on the net as it seemed a new (and probably an Indian) company. Your valuable and learned opinion about the product will make my decision easier.
Thanks
Sumit
Hi Sumit,
I have not tried the Lexossys Model that you have mentioned so cannot comment on the same but if it says that it works it should BTW I recently review the ASUS N13U B1 router and that also supports 3G datacards see my review http://www.tech2buzz.com/internet/asus-rt-n13u-wifi-and-3g-broadband-router-review/comment-page-1#comment-8407 and that is a better model than this Tenda and comes with official bill and warranty in India.
Cheers,
Ranjit
I know about the ASUS router. Only thing about it is it doesn’t list the Micromax datacards (provided with MTNL) as compatible. Thats why the question. Anyways, thanks for the guidance.
Cheers
Sumit
Type 2 ADSL 2+ CPE/IAD {manufacturer-Syrma Technology Private Limited)
this is provided by bsnl.. i want to use tata docomo 3g stick with it.. it has usb port and all other ports as written above..
but when i login to wifi router settings i dont find SIM,APN etc as in above video… can i use it with docomo.. please send me how to configure at my mail drbalkrishna08@gmail.com..
thanks..
Balkrishna I do not know the specifics of the model that you have mentioned but if a router just has a USB port at the back that does not mean that it supports 3G dongles only specialized models of routers can do that……. my guess is that the bsnl WiFi router that is given does not support 3G dongles.
Cheers,
Ranjit
Can BSNL EVDO(CDMA) can be used with this router.as Photon+ and Netconnect are compactable then it should also be I think
Vinay technically it should work if you datacard is supported but cannot be sure as I cannot test it as I do not have a BSNL EVDO connection, also refer to the ASUS RT 13NU router which also supports 3G and is a better model that this one.
Cheers,
Ranjit
I have bought a Tenda N150 wireless 3g router and being a bit of a geriatric thicko I am struggling with it. I think I need to connect it too my home broadband by cable, can you please confirm this
Thanks Madeline
hello, ranjit
sorry in my last post i mistakenly write {manufacturer-Syrma Technology Private Limited} its distributer… sorry
manufacturer is fujian star-net communication
also can you tell what are the uses of usb port in modem???
Model Name AR800V v3.0
Firmware Version 10.4.3.12.12_SII
Hardware Version Solos 4615 RD / Solos 461x CSP v1.0
hi ranjit
I am so glad you made this video its was very helpful.I have a tata photon+ (huawei EC1261) will it connect to Tenda N150 wireless 3g router?
Hello Tabish,
I no longer have this Tenda router with me so cannot confirm, I would recommend you to go with the ASUS N13U http://www.tech2buzz.com/internet/asus-rt-n13u-wifi-and-3g-broadband-router-review in that there is a page that links to the USB datacards that work with that router.
Cheers,
Ranjit
Whats the cost??? n how to get it???
FRom wer to get?
I have 3g router (TP-LINK MR3220). Can i connect a usb wifi internet dongle (I have GreenPacket UH-235 supplied by qubee).
Ranjit.. Excellent work… I am using a photon+ datacard as 3G isnt that great in Goa. I assume from the discussion above that sharing a photon+ datacard is possible. So wanted to buy this product Tenda 3G611R+ Can you advise me where do I buy this and what would be the cost ?
Further is there a portable wifi router as I want to buy an ipad wifi instead of 3G.
Thanks.
Naveen I personally did not test it with Photon+ also I recommend the ASUS RT N13U B1 coz that one is officially sold in India see my review http://www.tech2buzz.com/internet/asus-rt-n13u-wifi-and-3g-broadband-router-review there is a link on that page which lists the data-cards that are supported so check if your card is supported before purchasing the same.
Regrading the portable WiFi router that used a 3G cards yes there are products like that, if you can hold for a week or two I am going to review one product like that that is officially sold in India.
Cheers,
Ranjit
Hi Ranjith
Is the ZTe ac 2737 compatible with the tends
Router
Sundar please go to http://www.tenda.cn website and check for the supported datacards as they keep adding new cards with new firmwares.

Hi Ranjith,
I have Tenda 3G150M wifi router. I wanted to connect Tatadocomo 3G USB HSUPA modem – model ZTE MF631 with this wifi router so that i can access the internet through my cellphones, wifi enabled laptop etc… I tried setting up the connection with the tatadocomo but could not do so. Tenda 3G150M supports ZTE MF631 usb modem. Can you please help me on what needs to be done to connect to tatadocomo 3G USB?
Hi Rajith,
Excellent work !
Once the device is connected and configured, while again plugging the device it will automatically connect to internet (Eg: Poweron connect)
or we have login in to router and connect manuaally?
Arun it differs from device to device but I have found most of the routers auto-connect automatically once they are switched on.
Hi Ranjit,
I am planning to buy the following ASUS wifi router for my tata photon + connection from amazon (as one of my relative is coming from US in few days)
http://www.amazon.com/RT-N13U-Wireless-N-Advance-multi-Media-Router/dp/B0045JCL22/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1317750739&sr=1-1
Do you think it will be a good choice for sharing tata photon + ?
Will it support the same(you have already reviewed RT-N13U B1 model and i guess both are same)? .Please advise.
Also , If i have to buy this from India , where can i get the cheapest price
Shalini I recommend that you do not buy that router from amazon but from India coz only the B1 rev works with the 3G datacards, also check this page where I have given all the info for this router http://www.tech2buzz.com/internet/asus-rt-n13u-wifi-and-3g-broadband-router-review
The street pricing I think so is around Rs 2,900 – 3,000 for this router last time I checked a couple of months ago.
Cheers,
Ranjit
Hi Ranjit,
As per your suggestion , today i bought the Asus RT N13U B1 router. When i am connecting my tata photon + (supported model Huwei – EC 152) , it is giving me the following error (screenshot)
http://www.uploadup.com/di-IP9Q.jpg
It says “RT N13U Rev.B1 don’t get the IP address yet. Please wait for a moment or check the system log”
I have already updated the firmware to 2.0.2.0 and tried so many times , but always the same issue. Can you please advise ? is the router has some fault or am i missing something ? (I have already tried by seeing your video tutorial but this IP address issue remains the same).
Thanks,
Shalini
Hi Shalini,
In the demo I used a 3G dongle using BSNL 3G in which username and password is not required, I haven’t personally used photon + but if I am not wrong you need to enter the user name and password for the same did you do the same in the routers interface.
If you go to 192.168.1.1 it should allow you to go to the 3G datacard setting and do the same.
Cheers,
Ranjit
Hi Ranjit,
I think its not the issue with the internet settings but with the firmware (2.0.2.0) ?? Anyways i have downgraded the firmware to 2.0.7.0 and the previous error is not coming but the new one – “Ethernet cable is not plugged in” (even though the ethernet cable is plugged in properly with the lights also blinking.
Some other guys also facing the same issue after reading your post :-
http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?board_id=11&model=RT-N13U&id=20110715220349539&page=1&SLanguage=en-us
Not sure what to do…..
Thanks.
Shalini you should be able to connect to the admin interface of 192.168.1.1 irespective of connecting the datacard or not also under the router set the mode to Router not Sharing and see if you can go to the admin interface and select the USB Application tab and then set the 3G setting, if that is also not working and you are unable to go the admin interface I think so the router has some problem, also you can connect to the admin interface via the WiFi too.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uU2O7-VrW-s
As I have mentioned I do not have the tata photon+ card I do not know its APN name and the dial code, if tata photon is not in that list you might need to set that manually like I did for BSNL 3G.
Cheers,
Ranjit
Hi sir ,i want to buy wifi router which is both support 3G usb modem and cable line(land phone broadbend connetion) to convert WiFi . Can you tall me which is best Belkin company product if this company have no related product , tall me which company and its product name
hi sir , i want to buy WiFi route which support both 3G usb modem and cable broandbend . Can you tall me which company product full fill my need. If not tall me which wifi router supaport Huawei umg 1831 mobem .
hi Lagnajit please have a look at this page http://www.tech2buzz.com/internet/asus-rt-n13u-wifi-and-3g-broadband-router-review its a good router that also supports 3G datacards.
hi sir , can asus-rt-n13u-b1 version wifi support huawei k 4505 3G USB modem. if support this modem which version i buy
Lagnajit in the review link that I gave for the Asus RT N13U there is a clear link to the Asus website which mentions all the 3G datacards that are supported by that router so please check it yourself if your datacard is supported.
Also try to read some of the comments before asking similar redundant questions coz most of the questions are answered already.
Cheers,
Ranjit
Hi !
1. I have a reliance data card 2G. Which wifi router should i buy to make my device compatible and work at max speed ?
2. Can you please list all the models of wifi router which can also support data cards.
Thanks.
Hi Ranjit,
I don’t know if its suitable to ask it here, but still. I’m using BSNL Broadband at my home and the modem supplied is ‘Teracom Type-II ADSL MODEM’. It has 4 Ethernet ports and 1 USB port.
I want to know if I can use that very use port for storage purpose, like if I want to share a file with my all who are connected with my WiFi, I transfer the file in a pen drive and then plug that pen drive in that USB slot and share it. they can also share file to and from that storage. Like a mutual storage space over WiFi, without network connections.
Thanks,
Puneet
@Puneet: No idea coz I have never used the BSNL type II ADSL modem personally, but I guess sharing storage should be possible if a USB port is provided on your modem.
Cheers,
Ranjit
Any 3G router having 2 USB ports? I can use one for 3G Modem and another for Printer.
Hi Ranjit,
I have MTS blaze zte ac 2746 which does not have 3g modem. Can i connect Tenda with my mts for wifi
Hi Dear
I want to buy this Kind of 3G enable WIFI router, can you pls suggest the retailer in Chandigarh.
//BR
hi Ranjeet
is there any way by which i can use wifi on my mobile through my Tata Docomo Plus with this router.?
Regards
Rajat
Hi Ranjit,
Purchased the Tenda router to use it with Reliance 3G usb modem. Is it ok to switch off power supply to the router while the 3G connection is still active? Doesn’t the modem require “safe removal” as we do it with usb devices connected to our PCs?
Regards.
AK.
@AK: Yes you can switch off the power to the router no problems.
Thanks Ranjit… One more query. My internet connection is slow when the dongle is connected to the router. But when connected to my PC, the speed is very fast. Is this normal or can I tweak some settings in the router to boost up the speed? For example I get around 5 Mbps when the dongle is connected to the PC and 2 Mbps when connected through router.
@AK: I cannot check about speeds coz I no longer have access to this unit, but check a few setting in the router and see if that makes a difference.
how do i connect Reliance ZTE Tab (3G) to my desktop using a wifi adapter ? which adapter is good ?
@sammy23: No idea as I have never used a the Reliance ZTE tab.
Hi Ranjit, I am planning to buy a portable universal 3g wifi hotspot. Please suggest me some cheap but reliable devices. It should also have inbuilt battery. Is there any such device similar to micromax mmx400r but cheaper than that?
@Sanjay: There is one by Lava Mobiles do not remember the exact mobile
@Ranjit: I am not asking about mobile. I am asking for something similar to mmx400r. Its a portable 3g wifi dongle. I want some cheaper alternative. This device is available for about rs4100. It would be of help if you could suggest me any cheaper alternative. I had micromax mmx310g which is a 3g usb dongle. But last month it got screwed up. So I am planning to buy a wifi dongle this time.
@Sanjay: Yes that what I am talking about not a mobile phone but a portable 3G WiFi hotspot its like a small credit card BTW the name is Lava’s Pocket Wireless Router (W150) I think so it is around 3K
Cheers,
Ranjit
@Ranjit: I googled that product which you mentioned. I think that its just a router. It does not have any SIM slot. I am looking for a device with inbuilt SIM slot. Something like that mmx 400r.
hi ranjit i m useing bsnl evdo usb datacard zte evdo ac8700 800m can u suggest me a wifi router …..
@shitanshu I have reviewed a bunch of routers from Asus that support 3G datacards / dongles check this list http://event.asus.com/2009/networks/3gsupport/ to determine if your data-card is listed with the same.
Cheers,
Ranjit
Hi Ranjit,
Thanks for the wonderfunl review.
I have a question…
Can I use BSNL EVDO data card or 3G connection ( 3G enabled SIM )like IDEA to connect to the internet ? i.e. JUst plug in BSNL EVDO dongle and internet is on or Insert 3G enabled SIM and internet is on ??
If this feature is not in this then will you suggest any device having this feature ?
Thanks in Advance.
Ankur
Sorry for going Off-Topic but can you suggest a wi-fi router which covers a distance of 100-120 meters ?
Tried Beetel’s( that comes with airtel connection) and cisco’s one but failed to get at receiving end !
@Sandeep: I doubt you can cover that much area with a single WiFi router… coz that is around 600 feet and most of the router after 75-85 feet their signal degrades a lot, what you can do is put up multiple repeaters to cover that area.
air distance is near about 20-25 meter, second house on right diagonally ,getting no signals may be due to walls. but getting the connection of the farthest house in lane near about 150 meter.
Any Solution/Suggestion for me ?
i want to know about 3g supportable router than can work with upcoing 4g too..
i want to use it for my desktop and wifi on mobile device..
Hi ranjit,
Am planning to buy the LAVA W150 wifi router. Wanted to know if it will work with a tata photon stick i have model no being: EC1261?
Regards
Harish Rajan
@Harish: I haven’t used or tested the LAVA W150 Wifi router so you would need to check with LAVA directly if you datacard is supported.
Cheers,
Ranjit
Hi Ranjit,
I have Tata photon+ broadband connection with 3.1 mbps speed. i want to connect this to desktop and laptop via wifi. can i use ASUS RT N13U WiFi router or any other model in belkin.
What is the cost involved in this? have subscribed to your channel in youtube.
Thanks
Rajkiran Singh
Hi Ranjit
I like your reviews, they are very enriching and simple for a newbie like me to follow. keep going sir. as far as my query goes I want to know 1 basic question, can an ADSL wireless router work or configured to work on networks which do not require ADSL routers(Like Beam)
IF yes please let us know the process.
Thanks
Amit
plz review d-link DWR-113 3G WI-FI ROUTER.
@Amit: For Beam you need a normal WiFi router not a ADSL one.
Hi
I have a BSNL 3G LW272 (teracom LW272 V1.0 3.6mbps speed) data card. I want to know, which wifi router(s) are tested to work with this data card and available in the market.
Because you blog states you tested with “Huawei E122 3G datacard”.
Thanks,
Ramesh
Hi Ranjit,
Just wondering if we can convert/tweak existing wi fi routers to accomodate tata photon+ also. Is there any kind of adapter available?
Thanks
Hi Ranjit,
Is it possible to club two or more internet sources (ASDL & 3G data card) at wifi router level to increase output bandwidth?
If yes, what are the best options are available in India?
Thanks,
Vikram
@Vikram: No only one internet connection can be active at a given time.
hi Ranjit,
nice to know that we have a friend who can help us getting specific routers for use as we are layman in this subject.
my question is that i have been told to take asus 56 U as my office has a mtnl wireless but u know how our mtnl works so for backup i wanna have a router with all the facilities repeater, router etc and where in my internet does not stop working even if mtnl is down and my office computers have a;ll wifi dongles attached to them and how can i have a wep key to the router u suggest …….
Hi Ranjit,
I am looking at buying ipad2 with wifi only for my father(based in Moradabad) and intend to use a dongle with wifi router with same. Pls confirm if this will be workable as I have a wired broadband at home(Gurgaon) and a tata photon dongle but the photon network is very unreliable.
My father’s usage will primarily be some browsing for news etc and facetime/skype calls oversees. I am not sure as to what service provider and what speed connection should I go for in choosing a dongle that can suffice his usage. Also pls advise your thoughts on whether a wired broadband connection with wi-fi will be better as compared to a broadband dongle with a wi-fi router.
Thanks n rgds,
jaishree
i am bit of confuse here how can we dial by using the data card
Hi Ranjit,
Thanks for the wonderfunl review.

hello sir,
i am using reliance netconnect+ of d plan 256kbps. will it support for that. plz reply ..
@deepak: Check with tenda website and make sure the datacard that you are planing to use is listed in the compatible data-cards for the router else it would not work, the website for tenda is http://www.tenda.cn/

Ranjit
Hello Mr. Ranjit,
We do not have BSNL Broadband feasibility around our new office premises.
A dedicated Leaseline would be too costly. Would a BSNL 3G be a good option. What would be the maximum speed that we can get through BSNL 3G. We have around 25 PCs connected through LAN.
Could you please suggest a good option.
Thanks and best regards,
Sandhya.
@Sandhya….. It’s a bad idea to connect 25 PC with a single 3G datacard…. the experience will be bad… anyways for office stuff I do not recommend 3G datacards coz its not as reliable as a hard wired connection.
Better to get a say 2-4Mbps normal brodband from BSNL and that should be good enough….. but I say if you have Airtel broadband in your area go for that instead of BSNL coz their uptime is not that great.
