Kingston technology has launched the new range of SSD called the SSDNow V+200 series in India, if you remember I had reviewed the Kingston SSDNow V+100 series a couple of months ago these new V+200 brings to us the goodness of SATA 3.0 (6GB/s) interface and uses the SandForce controller.

The SSDNow V+200 features the second-generation high-speed SATA 3.0 (6Gb/s) SandForce SF-2281 Processor and outstanding sequential read and write speeds of up to 535MB/s and 480MB/s. The SSDNow V+200 enables fast system start-up, rapid data access and speedy copying of large files such as videos, presentations and graphics illustrations.

If you remember I had done a SSD vs HDD test using with the Kingston SSDNow+ 100 and a normal 7,200 rpm HDD and the Kingston SSD just blew away the normal HDD it would be very interesting to see how this new SSDNow V+200 series stack us as the old one was using the SATA2.0 controller and the new ones are using the SATA3.0 interface.

If you are in India and planning to buy books / mobile / gadgets online, I suggest you have a look at flipkart. It is one of the best online store in India and they offer free home delivery and cash on delivery for most products.

    Hi Ranjit

I have watched your video on performance of SSD and i have a doubt that whether can i use both SSD and HDD on my system. that is SSD for OS and HDD as secondary for storing..

My system configuration is core 2duo processor and Gigabyte g41 Motherboard 4gb RAM and 160 GB IDE HDD.

    Thanks

@Madahan: It should work but you need to consult your Motherboards manufactures website and check if your motherboard supports SATA 2.0 ports as that is the minimum requirement for the SSD also you need to check if your motherboards supports AHCI mode.
