Battlefield Bad Company 2 PS3 Review
There is good news for FPS fans with the release of Battlefield Bad Company 2 by EA not only this game is a huge improved when compared to the first version but it also has got a outstanding and well-thought-of multiplayer which will keep you hooked on for months to come. In this version DICE has polished the game a lot and the campaign looks great with the gorgeous graphics.
One cannot stop comparing this game without mentioning the other outstanding game in the FPS family know as the Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) I have both the games and enjoy the multiplayer experience on both, in respect of single player campaign Battlefield is much better than the Modern warfare 2 counter part in almost every respect from the story to the graphics.
| The real reason both these games excel is due to the online multiplayer part the pacing of both these games is very different and its not fair to compare them as the game play in both the games is very different, in battlefield the pacing is a bit slow and its a more tactical game in which you need to plan with you squad / team mates if you want to win the match it‘s not just killing the enemies and the kill streak that will make you win matches, also the maps are huge in battlefield and upto 24 players can participate in the online matches, even then it does not look over crowded due to the huge scale of the maps, you need to use sniper rifles to assault weapons based on the objective and the position you are in the game to win matches, if just try to run and gun like in MW2 you will go no where in Battlefield. | ![]() |
In Battlefield 2 there are 4 classes of soldiers provided and as you rank up you get new and better weapons for their respective classes but it can be a bit intimidating to newcomers to understand the class system and until you rank up a bit you wont get great weapons for example for the sniper class they can use a mortar fire which can be devastating, it might take at least a couple of hrs (1 – 4 hrs) for a new comers to understand the multiplayer part of the game its a bit daunting for new comers as the maps are huge and understanding the class system takes time, also in battlefield you can use vehicles such as tanks, speed boats, choppers which all add to the excitement.
The four classes in Battlefield bad company 2 are
1) Assault Class: The solider with assault rifles with grenade launchers
2) Medic Class: Has the powerful light machine guns and can heal other members of the team.
3) Engineer Class: Has SMG, rocket launchers and can also repair vehicles or destroy enemy vehicles.
4) Recon Class: The sniper class they can also destroy distant objects calling mortar fire.
The online experience I had with this game on PS3 is great and I play this game virtually for several hours on a stretch without any disconnections and there is virtually no lag, Once I got booted out from an online game but I was able to quickly find another online match in a minute or so, I have a friend who has this game on a xbox 360 and he complains a lot regarding lag issues on the xbox 360 platform for this game, I feel there are a few bugs missing features in the game but again they are not a show stopper I am sure EA / DICE will solve the small bugs with online patches.
Battlefield Bad Company Online Multiplayer Gameplay Video
If you a FPS fan and like to play a great game with a tactical twist then Battlefield bad company 2 is the game for you as for me I am a big fan of MW2 but I have noticed that in the last couple of weeks I have started to play battlefield much more than MW2 and now I personally feel that battlefield bad company 2 multiplayer is much more rewarding experience once you get a hang of the game, on the other hand the online play experience depends a lot on the other team mates and it can be a frustration experience at times due to other players, but if you have a bunch of friends I suggest make a squad and you will have a blast.
