Airtel broadband has recently launched a lot of new unlimited broadband plans, specifically the unlimited packages for 512kbps, 1 Mbps and 2 Mbps Unlimited plans have got a lot cheaper but there is a more stringent Fair usage policy (FUP) for these new plans.
Do note that these plans might not be currently active all over India, I reside in Hyderabad and these plans are applicable for Andhra Pradesh, but you should find new similar plans being rolled out all over the country pretty soon, I do welcome the lower pricing …

You must have noticed my earlier review of Netconnect broadband plus and the fantastic speeds that we were getting, over 2 Mbps on an average but during the last couple of weeks I have noticed that the speeds have dropped quite significantly and I am getting speeds that are well below half Mbps around (300 – 500 kbps) .

It’s been almost a year since I have written an article on broadband but there has not been much to write about the broadband scene during the past year, yes we now have WiMax and EVDO services (mobile broadband) but still the broadband scene hasn’t changed a lot, fast connections are still very expensive with absurd data-caps and high speed unlimited connections if at all available are very expensive.
